Baker and his firm have conducted surveys of Michigan manufacturers for the past four years. Those have shown increasingly positive sentiment about the state’s business climate and the future of manufacturing in the state.
The statewide Michigan 2013 Economic Outlook Survey is being conducted this Fall and a Flagship new report that outlines Michigan’s outlook as a business-friendly state by business, nonprofit, and municipal leaders across the 88-county state. The report will be issued the first week of January 2013.
Participants from more than 70 leading business, nonprofit and government organizations across the state are engaged in a broad effort being driven by the Baker Strategy Group of Ann Arbor, a research and consulting firm that has conducted a similar survey for the past four years for the Michigan Manufacturers Association. This year, businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities from across the state are participating in this program in cooperation with leading Michigan associations, including the Detroit Economic Club, the Detroit Regional Chamber, the Grand Rapids Area Chamber, the Small Business Association of Michigan, Southwest Michigan First, Traverse City Area Chamber and the West Michigan Policy Forum.
